Nice, I like the texture of the walls. The white space gives the dark stairs a nice background and makes that pattern the focal point rather than the white. This is a great B&W. You've done a nice job with a few shades available to you. I think the other shot is far too dominated by the stairs and there's not enough white space to organize them. I get a nice feeling from this shot.
